How to include your family in your Elopement

Preparations & Planning

There is still a lot of planning involved in your big day from finding your perfect dress to your flowers to your perfect elopement location. There are a lot of little details that you might want help with. Reach out to your mom, your sister or your best friend. The mere fact that you want to include them make them feel loved and involved.

Have a few at your ceremony day

Maybe you just can't have your elopement day without your parents by your side. That is ok. You can still have an elopement with some of your favorite people by your side. That might limit your location options, but do what you need to for your big day. They beauty of an elopement is that it is meant to be intimate and small. Small doesn't mean that you don't invite anyone. Small means you've chosen to include those that are closest to you. Make it work for you.

Plan an After Party or Reception

This is a huge way that you can include anyone and everyone that you want in celebration of your marriage. You don't have to have a reception the moment after the ceremony, but you can a week or even a month later. Your friends and family will still love that you thought of a way to include them all even though they weren't there to witness the ceremony. Maybe you even wait till you have a wedding video or a few pictures back to share with them. Receptions are where the party is at anyways. So...have some fun and celebrate your marriage again.

I hope that these tips helped you or sparked a new way that you can include your loved ones in your big day.
