Timelines can be the #1 cause of stress at weddings. If they aren’t planned out well, everything (and everyone) at the wedding falls apart and falls apart FAST. Timelines are important to establish a flow for the day. They make sure everything is happening that needs to or that you want. It makes sure nothing falls through the cracks and that everyone know what is going on. Timelines affect lighting, hours of coverage for me as your photographer, your ability to breathe and actually enjoy your day, and it helps reduce the stress levels of everyone involved. There is just a lot going on during a wedding day and having things established helps immensely.
Things to think about is allowing extra time for EVERYTHING from getting ready to eating to photos! Having a wedding coordinator to manage everything on the day-of so you can relax means you don't even need to be thinking about what is next. Someone else has got your back.
