Create a Detail Box for your Wedding Day | Helena, Montana Wedding Photographer

We all love seeing those detail shots with the wedding invitation, shoes, rings and all the other important little details that bring an intimate element to your wedding day. The problem?!?! Your photographer might spend a half hour or more of their time tracking down the items instead of being able to focus on you getting ready. You don’t want that to happen. You’ve paid good money for their time and you’d rather have them capturing you and then tracking down items for a couple pictures. Pictures that are important, but the time wasted is not necessary.

Here is how you can solve that problem beforehand and get the most from your photographer’s time during your wedding day.

Create a Detail Box

  • Find a box or basket or bucket to put all your small important details into. This doesn’t have to be pretty. It just needs to hold everything in one place.

  • Put all of your meaningful items in there. All the little details that you want to remember and have photographed.

  • You’ll want your rings & their boxes, bouquet, boutonniere, shoes, invitation/save the date, earrings, necklaces, ribbons that are your wedding colors, anything that has special meaning to you. Put as much in there as you want or as little as you’d like.

  • Have the box placed off to the side somewhere and let your photographer know. They can shoot it right when they get there and then move onto you getting ready.

The simplest things can often be over looked during a big day. It is easy to forget little things like this that can help make your day run smoother.

Happy Planning!
