When I get in front of the camera | Intimate Elopement Photographer

I used to not like when I got in front of the camera. Like many of you, I didn’t know what to do or how I’d feel or what to wear. It was a STRUGGLE. So I feel you all. And for me, I wanted to break down those fears for myself, so that I could help you all as well. And now…I LOVE IT! Seriously. While I am sitting here typing this out, I’m thinking about how I really want to get in front of the camera again because it’s been too long.

I wanted to share my little families session we did with my amazing photographer friend Katie Sue Photography for our family photos. To be honest, this was the first..well second time we had good professional photos taken of us by another photographer. We normally set up a tripod or get everything ready and have my sister take the pictures for us. This was a game changer! Oh my it was so good. Really…do it. Couples, families, friends, sisters, whatever it is, do it. You won’t regret the memories that you’ve created. And I should probably mention that I sneak my husband away at least once a year for a couples session because it’s obviously the niche I love. But doing it for our family made a big difference too. I’m so thankful that we did.

TWO THINGS…

First, here are some posts I’ve written to help you when it’s your turn to get in front of the camera.

What to wear to rock your next session

What to expect during a session with me

Ways to be more comfortable in front of the camera

Second, enjoy our family photos from Katie.
