I know winter isn’t always on top of everyone’s list for the season to get married. I mean it can be cold, travel can be a bear and not to mention the snow. You know what I see when I look at a winter wedding? I see calm. I see intimacy. I see unexpected beauty. That is what inspired this winter wedding at The Kleffner near Helena, Montana.

The snow brings a different dynamic aspect that can’t be done in the spring, summer or fall. I don’t know if you ever pay attention when it snows, but everything goes quiet. It’s almost silent. The calm and momentary lack of movement outside brings a peace that is hard to beat. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to experience this for their wedding day.

The other things is intimacy. You look at the fact that it might inhibit a bunch of people from traveling to be guests at your wedding. I look at it as an opportunity to have your wedding be smaller and more personal. There is something about a small intimate wedding that is hard to beat. To have people that truly know you surround you on one of your most important days of your life rather than have strangers in the crowd.
