Engagement Photography | Picking a Location
Make a Lasting Impression for Engagement Photography
There are several reasons for you to take some time to think about where you would like your engagement photography session to be. These are pictures that you will cherish for the rest of your life together. Make sure that they will be ones worth the memories.
The Photographer’s Locations
Your photographer should have several ideas of where you can go to take your engagement pictures. These might be their go to spot or a new location they have recently found. This is a fun way to explore an area near you that you maybe have not been able to go to yet. Finding a new location to hike, relax for a picnic or take an easy stroll can be worth the memories for years to come beyond the pictures that were taken.
Your Locations
There are some great benefits to picking the location yourself. It is one you are familiar with and can envision looking at the pictures for years to come. Maybe you got engaged somewhere epic and want to revisit that spot. What a great way to remember that first step towards your married life than an engagement photography session at that location. Is there a location that the two of you spend most of your time together? Maybe it is your favorite hiking spot or a park bench that you love to catch up on life together. Where did you meet? This would be another memorable location. What could be better than taking it back to the place where it all began? Take a look around the area that you pick. Are there any locations close by that you could take advantage of for diversity?
Time Frame
Wherever you choose, make sure that it still fits within the guidelines of your photographer’s contract. If you choose to go on a hike, will the end location be over the allotted time? If it will and you are okay with the extra time, ask your photographer what the extra fees are associated with the longer session.
Whatever you end up choosing today, make sure to laugh and have fun. Show the world how excited you are to be getting married. Enjoy the time leading up to the wedding rather than getting stressed about the details.
