Sam + Bri | Montana Country Road Couples Session | Helena, MT Couples Photographer
Helena, MT Couples Photographer
Frrieeendss!! I'm so glad you landed on this session, because it is by far one of my favorite recent sessions. We talked ALOT. They laughed. They ran around and the chilly evening air disappeared into the night with the fun that they were having and the sweat they were building. BAHHHAA!! This was the perfect couples session on an old country road in Montana. As a Helena, MT couples photographer, I love being able to drive down a dirt road to experience a new place off the beaten path. Whether I'm driving somewhere with my couple or my family, I love discovering new places. This is one way to have an adventure couples session. It doesn't always need to be a long hike. Adventure is what you make it. Sometimes it's shorter and sometimes it's longer.
I've been exploring the areas around Helena, MT. I discovered this road the weekend before and knew that I needed to take a couple here. I love being able to capture moments over poses. Taking a couple and showing their relationship behind the images, it brings me to my feet dancing. Seriously, when I'm going through the photos and editing, I find myself dancing.
Sam + Bri
Sam & Bri just celebrated 5 years together, which is still so crazy for her to say. They are both from Boise, Idaho. During their junior year of high school, they met through a Twitter message. Sam needed to ask her a random question about my soccer coach. NEVER EVER in a million years would Bri have expected this to be where they are today. I mean, who thinks that a Twitter message would be the start of something? He is a year ahead of her in school, so he got a soccer scholarship to come Carroll for college in Helena, MT. They spent that first year apart long distance. This was one of the hardest stage of their relationship. After realizing how hard distance was, Bri chose to attend Carroll as well. Anyone else go through long distance? It's not easy.
He is definitely the calm to her craziness. Bri would have never thought she would find "her person" so young. I think most people think that is what college is for. His positivity and excitement for life are what always shines through to her. They enjoy playing frisbee golf, camping, and trying to squeeze in any exploring when their hectic schedules allow! I mean, don't you just want to go hang out with them now too?
Being able to capture these memories and moments in time, is one of the things I love the most. I never knew how much fun being a Helena, MT couples photographer would be or a couples photographer in general. I'm loving discovering all these new locations in a town. I wouldn't change it for the world.
