Oregon Couples Session
We were just wandering around my in-laws property with friends that had flown into town for a long weekend. First off, is there anything better than visitors? It is pretty high on my list. Anyways, it was a slightly chilly overcast day, yet there was something so beautiful about the property. There was no beautiful light shining down and it most definitely was not golden hour. I feel like even if I try planning a shoot around that lovely sun, it lets me down. I've been embracing the not so perfect light and I am loving the growth that it is bringing to my photography style and skill. I was not disappointed one bit with how the session turned out. We just did a quick little mini Oregon couples session on the side of the hill in the yellow grass.I typically ask my clients questions regarding how they met, what their relationship is like, and really dig into their lives a little to get to know them. Well, when you know the couple, it can be a little different. I know all these details. I photographed their wedding and we were friends before that as well. Let's just say, I had some fun coming up with a few new prompts that gave us some great shots. Having your friends do a quick mini session can be a fun way to add some excitement to a weekend. Looking for anyone to shoot even when it is for fun helps you grow. Using places and weather that are not ideal makes you a stronger and better photographer. That is what I keep striving to do.Plus have I mentioned that shooting friends is one of my favorite things? I should also mention that I love making new friends. Being able to shoot a couple is a great way to do that because I ask questions that give my couples a real response and helps me get to know them.Want to hang out and get some fun photos in the process? Contact me today, because I can't wait to get to know you!
